As a Barnard Alumnae Admissions Representative (“BAAR”) who interacts with prospective and admitted students on behalf of the Office of the Admissions at Barnard College, I will have access to non-public documents and other private information concerning the College and its applicants (herein referred to as “Confidential Information”). I understand the importance of, and sensitivity required for, interacting with prospective applicants and admitted students. In volunteering with the Office of Admissions, I agree to the following:

• I agree not to share, copy, or otherwise disseminate any Confidential Information provided to me in my role as a Barnard Alumnae Admissions Representative (including, but not limited to, any BAAR training documents, materials, admissions information, or information about the application review process and evaluation criteria), except to Barnard College Office of Admissions employees or representatives of Barnard who have a reason to know the Confidential Information for purposes related to their duties at Barnard.
• I further agree not to discuss or disclose any Confidential Information provided to me, except as required to carry out my duties while performing services for Barnard College.
• I agree that the duty of confidentiality with regard to the non-disclosure of Confidential Information that I obtain while working at Barnard remains in effect after my services as a BAAR are completed. 
• I further agree not to record or share any audio or visual recording, including screenshots, of my interactions with students. 
• I fully understand that if I do not sign and return this agreement to the Office of Admissions, and complete any required training sessions, I cannot participate in BAAR programming. 

“Confidential Information” does not include any such information which (a) was or becomes a matter of public information or publicly available through no fault on my part; or (b) was acquired by me from someone else who was entitled to disclose it to me.

I fully understand that confidentiality and discretion are required for this position. Failure to adhere to any of the above agreement will result in a removal from the BAAR program.
